"Gnort and South" While Manga Khan awaits an answer from Earth about his offer to barter or have the planet's resources plundered,[1] G'nort arrives from the Australian Outback and single-handedly attacks the Cluster Ship. Infuriated by the Green Lantern's assault, Khan orders his ships to take Earth. A power surge in Australia blows out the monitor at the New York Justice League Embassy, so Oberon alerts the team and Blue Beetle and Mr. Miracle pilot the Justice League Cruiser, taking Booster Gold and probationary members Green Flame and Ice Maiden with them to investigate. The Martian Manhunter leads Captain Atom and Rocket Red into space to fight the invaders. G'nort joins in their struggle against the Cluster's battle fleet. The moment that it becomes slightly unprofitable to continue fighting, Khan and the Cluster leave. In Australia, the others find a large structure guarded by a massive killer robot. When the robot retreats into the structure—actually recalled by the defeated Manga Khan—Miracle slips inside, only to hear the engines roar. Unknown to the other Leaguers, Scott had inadvertently trapped himself inside a Cluster ship. The League informs Scott's wife of his capture; Barda is determined to retrieve her man at any cost. Guy Gardner missed the entire battle with the Cluster, as he has traveled to Gotham City to beg Batman to rejoin the JLI.
